Comodo firewall keeps popping up every time i turn on my comp and log in a little notice, saying it detected a malicious item. it’s -always- windows/system32/wdrv/wdrvser.bin. and every time, i click "clean" and it deletes the file, which i’ve confirmed because i opened windows browser and went to that folder, and couldn’t find wdrvser.bin. i then restart my computer and everything runs fine, so i assume it wasn’t an important system file. but then the next time i turn off my computer, and turn it back on, the same file is back, and comodo firewall pops up about it. i tried scanning the file with comodo and with nod32, but both came up ‘clean’. which is odd. i then did a search and found an article saying that the .bin file may have been corrupted, or infected with a virus, and that i need to repair it with a system registry tool. and that symptoms include network connection failure, constant system freezes, annoying computer crashes, windows shutdown problems, etc, among others. i’ve experienced both network connection failure, and shutdown problems, but none of the others. later in that article it gave me a link to download a system registry fixer, which turned out to be a bogus link, to a deadly virus. fortunately, nod32 was wise to this and caught it. my question, though, is how can i fix this? is there some way to scan the .bin file, or fix it by hand or some actual "trusted" software i can get to fix it?
